Babysitter

A babysitter is a person who provides childcare for a specified length of time, usually as a career. The main role of a babysitter is to provide care and protection for the child in the absence of the parents. They perform duties such as watch the child while he or she sleeps, change the child’s diapers, feed the child, play with the child, bathe the child, and maybe even teach the child basic skills like speaking and reading. Parents normally hire babysitters when they are too busy to attend to them or when they need to take a break and relax. Most parents prefer a babysitter who is a woman and has experience taking care of children. A good babysitter should have a knowledge of child safety and first aid in case the need arises and should be of an appropriate age to carry out their roles effectively.
