Grandparents

Grandparents are the parents of a child’s mother and father. So, there are usually up to four total (combining the maternal and paternal sides). Grandparents often help with some of the parenting responsibilities and offer advice regarding the best and most practical parenting strategies. In some cases, grandparents take over parenting duties when the parents are dead, unavailable, or incapacitated in one way or another. Even when this is not the case, grandparents add huge value to their grandchildren’s parenting through their expertise and guidance.
