Baby Heart

A baby heart is the heart of an infant or fetus, whether the baby is already born or still inside the mother’s womb. A baby heart does not beat at the same rate as an adult heart because the baby is tiny and the heart is still developing. A baby’s heart rate should be between 110 and 160 beats per minute. A baby heart rate that is above or below the normal range may indicate a potential heart problem. A baby’s heartbeat can be heard from as early as ten weeks of pregnancy via an ultrasound, depending on the baby’s position, the mother’s weight, and the accuracy of the conception date. The heart rate is monitored throughout pregnancy to track the health and development of the baby.
