Pediatrician

A pediatrician is a specialized doctor who is trained in the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. While most pediatricians work in hospitals, they can also be contracted to work in children’s homes, juvenile penitentiaries, and women’s prisons. A pediatrician can be either a man or a woman as long as they meet the requirements and qualifications. Training usually lasts for six to twelve years. Once complete, he or she will deal directly with specific cases in order to gain the necessary expertise before practicing on their own. Anyone below the age of twenty qualifies for pediatric care, but the focus is mostly on infants and children.
